What is there to do on a Tuesday night in Hardin Valley between now and Thanksgiving? Pellissippi State Community College has the answer on its Hardin Valley campus. Four of the five music events left on its fall calendar fall on Tuesdays, all in the Clayton Performing Arts Center.
Weekends belong to Willow Point Way. Hardin Valley Event Center at 2620 Willow Point Way has booked a bourbon tasting, a book-release bonfire and two holiday markets between late October and the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Together, the campus and the event center give the valley a full late-fall calendar on a steady weekly pattern. If you live off Hardin Valley Road, most of it is a short drive away.
Four Tuesdays at the Clayton Performing Arts Center
Pellissippi State's music page lists a Fall 2026 Concert Series and notes that concerts begin at 7 p.m. in the Clayton Performing Arts Center unless otherwise noted. Here is what's left on the music calendar from late October on, including one student-run festival that sits outside the series, with times taken from the college's public events calendar:
| Date | Event | Time | Listed admission |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tuesday, Oct. 27 | Fall Choral Concert | 7 p.m. | Not listed |
| Tuesday, Nov. 10 | Fall Bluegrass Concert | 7 to 9 p.m. | Free, community invited |
| Tuesday, Nov. 17 | Panther Palooza | 6 to 8 p.m. | Not listed |
| Thursday, Nov. 19 | Fall Instrumental Concert | 7 to 9 p.m. | Not listed |
| Tuesday, Nov. 24 | Fall Jazz Concert | 7 to 9 p.m. | Not listed |
The Fall Bluegrass Concert is the easiest one to say yes to. The college calls it its annual bluegrass concert, says admission is free, and invites the community. The other listings don't mention admission, so check before you go.
Panther Palooza on Nov. 17 is a different sort of evening. The calendar describes it as a one-day music festival produced and presented by Pellissippi's Media Technologies students, and it starts an hour earlier than the concerts. Pellissippi's theatre page still lists the fall production schedule as TBA, so a play could still be added.
The Gallery Covers the Daytime Hours
On weekdays, the campus offers something the evening concert schedule doesn't. The Bagwell Center for Media & Art Gallery on the Hardin Valley campus is free and open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, according to Pellissippi State's visual arts page.
"Sew Masters" opened Monday, Oct. 19, and runs through Nov. 12. It is a fiber-arts exhibition featuring Tom Lee, Hamlett Dobbins, Matt Tullis, Tatiana Potts and Angie To. The Photography Student Showcase takes over the gallery on Nov. 16 and stays up through Dec. 11.
The gallery closes at 5 p.m. and doesn't open on weekends, so these shows fit a lunch hour or a weekday afternoon. That makes the campus a daytime stop as well as an evening one. If you want to see "Sew Masters," you have about three and a half weeks of weekdays to do it.
Willow Point Way Takes the Weekends
Hardin Valley Event Center fills the hours the college leaves open. Its fall bookings cluster on Saturdays and Sundays, with one Monday-night exception.
Saturday, Oct. 24, 1 to 6 p.m. The Smoky Mountain Bourbon Society holds its Second Annual Fall Social with a tailgate theme. The organizer advertises nearly 20 distilleries, food trucks, cigars, vendors and football on projectors. The event listing puts the price at $50.
Monday, Oct. 26, 7 to 9 p.m. The ACOTAR Book Release & Bonfire promises themed drinks, a bonfire, s'mores, snacks and bookish activities. Admission is listed at $10. Book preorders are $32 for one or $70 for both.
Saturday, Nov. 14, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Holiday Makers Market comes to 2620 Willow Point Way. The listing shows no admission price.
Sunday, Nov. 29, noon to 6 p.m. The Sip + Shop Merry Market is the biggest booking on the late-fall list. It advertises 50-plus vendors, Casual Pint, Santa photos, hot chocolate, a s'mores pit, food trucks and children's activities.
Put these next to the Pellissippi table and they barely overlap. The Monday bonfire is the only Event Center listing on a weeknight, and it falls on a night with no campus concert.
Halloween Falls on a Saturday
Oct. 31 is a Saturday this year. Hardin Valley Church of Christ is hosting a free Fall Festival from 1 to 3 p.m. at 11515 Hardin Valley Road. The festival listing mentions chili, hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, bounce houses, face painting and trunk-or-treating. Because it runs in the early afternoon, families can go and still be home well before evening.
The Rest of the Season, Week by Week
Put both venues together and most weeks from publication through the end of November have at least one thing on the calendar:
- Week of Oct. 19. "Sew Masters" is newly up at the Bagwell gallery. The Bourbon Society Fall Social is Saturday at the Event Center.
- Week of Oct. 26. The ACOTAR bonfire is Monday, the Fall Choral Concert is Tuesday, and the Fall Festival and trunk-or-treat is Saturday on Hardin Valley Road.
- Week of Nov. 2. "Sew Masters" stays open on weekday afternoons.
- Week of Nov. 9. The free Fall Bluegrass Concert is Tuesday. "Sew Masters" closes Thursday, Nov. 12, and the Holiday Makers Market is Saturday.
- Week of Nov. 16. The Photography Student Showcase opens Monday. Panther Palooza is Tuesday and the Fall Instrumental Concert is Thursday.
- Week of Nov. 23. The Fall Jazz Concert is Tuesday, and the Sip + Shop Merry Market wraps up the month on Sunday, Nov. 29.
The week of Nov. 2 is the quiet one, and the valley's open space fills that gap. Melton Hill Park at 32330 Williams Bend Road has a half-mile paved greenway and more than three miles of natural-surface trails, plus two boat ramps and a fishing pier, according to Knox County Parks. It is open dawn to dusk.
Dinner Before the Downbeat
A 7 p.m. concert on a weeknight leaves little time for dinner. The restaurant that opened on Hardin Valley Road this summer helps. Rock N' Roll Sushi was scheduled to open at 10837 Hardin Valley Road on July 22, 2026, with sushi rolls, hibachi, appetizers and ramen. Its Knoxville location page lists hours of 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. On a Tuesday, plan on an early dinner before the concert. The concerts listed with end times finish at 9 p.m., which is when the restaurant closes on weeknights.
Coffee next door is still on its way. K Brew's Hardin Valley page lists a new building at the same address with a drive-through, patio, indoor seating and a full food menu. The page still says "Coming Soon!" and says the opening date will be announced on K Brew's social channels. Once it opens, a weekday visit to the Bagwell gallery could start with coffee just down Hardin Valley Road.
